What could be better than a drive through an aspen grove in the fall? Not much! Crested Butte and the surrounding mountain passes offer some of the most phenomenal fall views in the state… arguably in all of the west. The largest aspen grove, on Kebler Pass, is just minutes from downtown Crested Butte! Cottonwood Pass, Ohio Creek and even Gothic Road offer spectacular views as well. There are so many great ways to see the fall colors in and around the Gunnison Valley!
If road trips aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the cooler temperatures, sweet smells and bright colors of autumn in the Rockies.
