Current Market Conditions for February 2020
The Crested Butte real estate market starts off the new decade with strong sales compared to January of last year. Residential sales volume for January was $8,373,050, up 18% from last year along with the amount of transactions (15 compared to 8). More importantly another 40 properties are under contract totaling $32,903,900, 11 of which are listed at $1mil or more including a luxurious 5 bedroom Elk Avenue home listed by Bluebird Real Estate for $3,675,000.
January Sales
In January, we had 6 single family home sales and 9 condo/townhome sales in the upper valley. Sales ranged from a base area Grand Lodge unit selling for $132,500 to a beautiful four bedroom home in Larkspur selling for $1,285,000 listed by Bluebird Real Estate. These 15 sales totaled $8,373,050 compared to the same period last year with $6,873,000 of volume and only eight transactions.
Land transactions involved just one deal, a Crested Butte South lot selling for $90,000.
