Summer continues in the Rocky Mountains as the wildflowers move to higher altitudes and the afternoon thunder storms make their daily appearance. Cooler temperatures, amazing skyscapes and the bustling flow of visitors fill our streets. The 42nd Annual Crested Butte Arts Festival starts tomorrow and goes through Sunday. Come enjoy over five blocks of incredible art, marvelous cuisine, artist and chef demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities and art auction.
Make sure to come downtown every Sunday for the Crested Butte Farmers’ Market at Elk Ave and 2nd Street, Alpineglowevery Monday at the Center for the Arts and Music on the Mountain every Wednesday at the base area, both at 5:30 p.m. There is free downhill mountain biking every Friday 4-7 p.m. and the rest of the valley’s trails are riding perfectly. So much to do, so little time.
