Opening Day and ski free! We may not be in the white room yet, but snow is on its way and Crested Butte Mountain Resort is getting geared up for another memorable ski season. Dust off those boots and get your bindings tuned because Opening Day will be here before you know it. Opening day and ski free is a Crested Butte Mountain Resort tradition allowing anyone to ski the first day the lifts open without a season pass or day ticket.
You will need to stop by the Main Ticket office at the Adventure Center to pick up your ticket, but you can leave your wallet behind. Opening Day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th – the day before Thanksgiving. So, you can hit the slopes and crush that early season snow before slipping into a post-turkey food coma on Thursday. First chair and a champagne toast kick off the season at 9am. Pirate costumes are encouraged!
Don’t forget season pass prices increase on October 9th. If you want more than one day on the slopes, be sure to get your pass soon!
Happy skiing.
