Join us downtown this evening to Celebrate Mardi Gras in True Crested Buttian Style! KBUT will be hosting the annual Fat Tuesday parade which will meander down Elk Avenue tonight beginning at 5:30pm. Colorful floats and colorful people will provide Mardi Gras entertainment with a Colorado mountain town twist. This is a family friendly event and children are encouraged to attend! At the conclusion of the parade, you and your hoards of beads are welcome to keep the party going at the Oskar Blues Silent Disco Tent. The tent, also sponsored by KBUT will be located between First and Second on Elk Avenue. Comfy chairs and sofas will be provided as well as headphones to enjoy some sweet jams. Music will be spun by KBUT’s Mission Control. Along with the music tent, a unique beer garden (21+) will be available for celebrating the holiday and enjoying Oskar Blues beer.
Parking downtown will be limited, so plan on taking the free town shuttle if possible. Full shuttle schedules can be found here. The temperatures are predicted to be near 30ºF at the beginning of the parade and drop to the high teens by 9pm, so layer up and enjoy the fun!
