In the wake of the cancellation of Big Air on Elk, a new event: Medium Air on Maroon will be added to the 2nd Annual Sleds and Kegs event this year. As you can see from last years video (from Bona Productions), this is one seriously fun reason to dig out the plastic sleds from wherever they are hiding. The video proves that there is plenty of fun to be had in Crested Butte when spring conditions hit. According to the Facebook page for the 2nd Annual Sleds and Kegs event, anyone who calls the valley home is welcome to attend- as long as they are at least 21 years of age. This years event will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 1 Maroon Avenue, Crested Butte- just one block North of Elk Ave. BYOB, donations will be accepted for grilled items i.e. burgers and dogs. So, grab your Hawaiian shirts and put on your party pants. Bring you skis, snowboards, sleds, anything that slides really… and get ready to have a great time. This very Crested Buttey party is brought to you by Mac Dog Opalinski & Non Native FYB. The weather forecast shows temperatures in the high 30s and a chance for light snow… but who relies on the weather forecast around here anyway? For more details, check out their Facebook page and save the date on your calendar.
