It’s a POWDER DAY! On The Snow is reporting that this storm is dumping More Snow at Crested Butte than Any Other Colorado Resort. The Crested Butte Mountain Resort Powcam showed nearly a foot of fresh snow before the resort opened this morning and it continues to come down. The snow report is showing that Crested Butte has received more than fifteen inches in the last 24 hours – way more than any other Colorado ski resort. It has been a literal white out most of the day, snowing so hard that the plows and shovelers are struggling to keep up and the riders are LOVING it. The fresh (very thick) blanket of snow is making everywhere from the slopes to Elk Avenue looks like a winter wonderland. The buses are running on schedule and everyone seems to have a smile plastered on their face around here. It’s the epic storm we have been waiting for and it couldn’t have come at a better time, right before the holidays. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is reporting powder and packed powder conditions with 300 acres of groomed trails and 467 acres of total open terrain. 8 lifts are running and the excitement level is high.
