CB3p: Pole, Pedal, Paddle
It’s almost here… The CB3P: Pole, Pedal, Paddle is April 30th. Racers start their journey in Mt. Crested Butte, CO and finishing in Gunnison, CO. The CB3P is a multi-sport, endurance race that spans the entire length of the Gunnison Valley. It starts off with a grueling uphill/downhill ski portion in Mt. Crested Butte, transitions to a road bike race down Highway 135 and finishes up with kayaking the spring runoff from the North Bridge put-in to the Gunnison Whitewater Park for a thrilling finish.
The Uphill Ski Leg of the race kicks off at 10 AM in Mountaineer Square. Racers will skin up Warming House > Keystone > Upper Park > Yellow Brick Road > Paradise Bowl to the top of Paradise Lift > Silver Queen Road > Windy Gap. From there they will transition to the Downhill Ski Leg of the race taking Jokerville > Upper Park > Keystone > Warming House Hill. With bikes waiting, participants will race down the mountain and follow Highway 135 to the North Bridge put-in where they will then kayak their way to victory and the finish line at the Gunnison Whitewater Park.
The CB3p: Pole, Pedal, Paddle is a fun event, full of smiles, laughter and most of all, fun. For more information or to volunteer, visit CB3P.
