Crested Butte Makes USA Today’s List As Most Extreme In North America
Crested Butte, Colorado is a pretty amazing place no matter what time of year so it’s no surprise that we once again top yet another list. This time, Crested Butte makes it to the number one spot of USA Today’s list of the top 10 most extreme resorts to ski in North America. In fact, only two Colorado Resorts even made the list, the other being our friends to the south in Telluride.
I think it’s safe to say that Crested Butte is undoubtedly one of the most extreme ski resorts in all of North America. Home to the Extreme Freeskiing Championships, Crested Butte attracts hardcore skiers and snowboarders from around the world. With some of the most dangerous, extreme inbounds terrain you’ll find anywhere, it’s no wonder athletes such as local Olympian and freeskiing expert Wendy Fisher like to call Crested Butte home.
With names like Psycho Rocks, Rambo and Body Bag, one should expect nothing less then some of the most extreme terrain to challenge their skiing or riding abilities.
