Mouthwatering Tacos For Taco Tuesday ~
Who doesn’t like a plate full of mouthwatering tacos for Taco Tuesday? Well, you’re in luck, OutThere Colorado recently published their list of The Top 15 Mouthwatering Taco Shops Around Colorado and our very own Teocalli Tamale made the list. Of course for those of you who frequent “Teo”, as they’re know by to the locals, this probably comes as no surprise. Teo is a favorite lunch stop in Crested Butte.
Teocalli Tamale has been serving amazing tacos and burritos to the Crested Butte community for over 20 years making them one of the longest established restaurants in town. They serve fresh, delicious food in large enough portions to satisfy the hungriest of appetites at a cost that won’t break the bank. Their burritos are almost the size of a small child and their taco plates definitely won’t disappoint. Teo offers a variety of meat selections as well as vegetarian and gluten free options. Top of your meal with one of their four different fresh salsas or house-made guacamole. And don’t forget a “Happy Hour” margarita.
Teocalli Tamale is open daily from 11am – 9pm(ish). However, on a “Powder Day” you are likely to find a sign on the door saying “Closed ‘Til Noon”. You will find their employees shredding the fresh powder up on the mountain rather than shredding cheese in the kitchen. They keep track of each Powder Day on this sign throughout the year, posting it throughout the summer as a reminder of what we can look forward to come the next winter.
