Happy New Year!
This winter is off to a great start with all winter activities in full swing. The skiing is as good as we’ve seen it this early in the season, after receiving over 90″ of snow to date.
In the spirit of giving, our Charity Fund at Bluebird Real Estate raised over $5,000 by setting aside a portion of all closing proceeds throughout the year. We are pleased to announce that we honored the following local non-profits: Adopt a Family (Oh Be Joyful Church), Conservation Corps, Mountain Roots, Gunnison Valley Hospital, Living Journeys and PAWS (Paradise Animal Welfare).
There is a lot to be proud of in our little community. Adaptive Sports Center was named #4 in Outside Magazine Best Places to Work. And Olympian Aaron Blunck, who was born and raised in Crested Butte, won the Freeski Halfpipe at the U.S. Grand Prix. We hope you find time to enjoy what makes Crested Butte so special.

Last month has been traditionally slow, both in terms of new listings and sales, while folks enjoy the holidays and spend time with family. That is about to change with our busy season upon us.

DECEMBER SALES
We experienced 6 single family home and 5 condo/town home sales in the upper valley in December, two of which were our team’s listings. These 11 sales totaled $11,140,000, and were down from 29 the previous month.
Land sales remained strong throughout the off season with 11 sales in December totaling $3,596,000, one of which was our team’s listing that sold for full price.
