April 2019 Edition
What an amazing winter we’ve had here in Crested Butte. We hope you’ve been able to enjoy the abundance of snow we’ve received as well as participate in many of the endless events throughout the winter. If you haven’t made it up yet, closing day is April 7th and promises to be fun-filled.
March proved to be a great month for real estate with a 45% increase in condos the went under contract, a 60% increase in single family home sales, and a 33% increase in condo and town home sales. April tends to be much slower in terms of new transactions, although we’re feeling a wave of interest that may buck that trend. We’re also generating new listings that are choosing to go on the market right away versus waiting for summer. In fact, our team had two new listings that went under contract quickly; one home in Pitchfork that went under contract in 6 days and a condo in Riverbend that went under contract in 4 days!
Looking forward, it’s hard to even consider summer, but it will be here soon enough. Ride the Rockies starts and ends in Crested Butte this June and the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport has just released their new summer flight schedule. Whatever draws you to Crested Butte, we are excited to share the love we have for this valley with you.

So far in 2019 our team has sold $7,181,500 representing 6.67% of the market, 2% more than any other agent in Gunnison County. We currently have another $9,453,200 under contract due to close soon.

Current market conditions
There are currently 5 single family homes over $1 million under contract, 2 less than last month. One of these properties is our listing in Almont and another is an amazing home in the town of Crested Butte where we represent the buyers. Another 10 single family homes under $1mil are under contract representing a total listing volume of $13,920,000, two of which we are assisting both buyers and sellers (one is not listed publicly with an asking price of $725,000). There are currently 16 condo/town homes under contract, compared to 11 last month, for a listing volume of $6,417,700. Two of these our team represents the sellers and one the buyer.

The resort may be closing and the snow may be receding, but the month of April still features great events such as the LandShark Pond Skim (4/6) and the Crested Butte Pole Pedal Paddle (4/28).
