We are excitedly awaiting the CBSF’s 30th Anniversary US Extremes Reunion! It all started when an event was created that put our legendary EXTREME terrain on the map. The first US Extreme Skiing Championship was held in 1992. Check out the John Sandy Productions video of the inaugural event here. Now in 2022, the Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation (CBSF) is organizing a fundraiser to gather in honor of this ski event and our ski community.
The CBSF invites you to enjoy time on and off the slopes with former and current freeskiing athletes. We look forward to gathering in Crested Butte for a reunion of snowsports enthusiasts like no other! The 30th Anniversary US Extremes Reunion kicks off on Friday, March 4th. Stop by the Public House for an athlete and VIP welcome party featuring Kung Pao. Ski for fun on Saturday and then head over to the Lodge at Mountaineer Square for Après All Night beginning at 6 PM. Dig out those ski bibs for this “retro ski themed” dinner party. Finish the weekend up on Sunday with breakfast and the opportunity to ski with a legend.
We are happy to show support to the Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation (CBSF). Their mission “to support the youth of the Gunnison Valley in their pursuit of snowsport experiences” is one of the reasons Crested Butte is such a great place to live. However, the availability of access and resources is a challenge for many in our community. The CBSF is striving to provide more opportunities for the children in our valley.
