Powder Alert! Crested Butte may be looking forward to a snowy weekend! Several winter forecasting websites are calling for big snow across parts of Colorado in the next five days. According to Powderchasers, two rounds of snow will be moving through British Columbia, the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies. The first round is expected to move through Sunday and the second at the start of next week. While parts of Colorado, such as Wolf Creek and Silverton, may see significant accumulation over the next five days, the rest of the west-central mountains may also see a fair amount of snow. Some forecasts are even calling for snowfall in the double-digits, possibly reaching close to 20 inches! Colorado-based OpenSnow is also calling for significant accumulations over the next five days; 19 inches at Wolf Creek Ski Area and 12 inches at Silverton Ski Area.
