Crested Butte Mountain Resort closing day will be Sunday April 7th, 2024, but there are several of Colorado resorts open for spring skiing! Below is a list of locations open for spring skiing along with their projected closing date. Note: some of these dates are tentative as they are weather-dependent.

- Echo Mountain – April 14
- Eldora Mountain – April 14
- Monarch Mountain – April 14
- Silverton Mountain – April 14
- Snowmass – April 14
- Aspen Mountain – April 21
- Steamboat – April 21
- Vail – April 21
- Winter Park – April 21 (Mary Jane TBD)
- Copper Mountain – April 28
- Purgatory Resort – April 28
- Breckenridge – April 30
- Loveland – May 12
- Arapahoe Basin – June 2
It’s not abnormal to see springtime storms so it is possible resorts such as Arapahoe Basin will extend their seasons even further. To keep tabs on the projected closing dates for each of these resorts, visit: On The Snow.
To keep track of spring snow storms across the state visit sites such as the National Weather Service or the Open Snow Colorado Daily Snow Forecast & Ski Report. If you’re thinking about some spring backcountry skiing, be sure to check the local forecast and avalanche information. The Crested Butte Avalanche Center and Colorado Avalanche Information Center are both useful resources.
