May 2024 Review
Gunnison County
The number of residential sales throughout Gunnison County remained consistent compared to 2023, with 27 sales in May. Despite fewer new listings in the month of May compared to 2023, we did see a jump in new listings year to date however, and continue to see a decrease in average sale price YTD. The highest sale in May was 1 Teocalli Avenue, a stunning 7-bedroom home in the Town of Crested Butte, which sold for $5,230,000.
Upper Gunnison Valley
The Upper Gunnison Valley market had 63% of the residential sales in Gunnison County and 83% of the total sales volume county-wide. In contrast, 20% of land sales and 33% of total land sale volume was north of Almont. As of June 4th, there are 63 properties under contract in the Upper Gunnison Valley, totaling over $57M in volume.
