We’re doing our snow dance here in Crested Butte! It is fantastic to see more snow in the valley and we’re hoping next week brings even more! As we move into the late winter season and prepare for Spring Break, there are always fun events in March and April, like the famed Al Johnson Telemark Race where participants don creative costumes and race up and down the extremes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort to commemorate the infamous 19th century postman.
 
Another perk of this time of year is that the LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s annual Resort Report is out now! Covering 17 of the Resort Report delivers key insights into year-over-year market performance across the Mountain West.
 
The Crested Butte Collection Market Update is your source for the latest real estate trends throughout Crested Butte and the Gunnison Valley. Our March 2025 Market Update dives into February sales throughout Gunnison County and the Upper Gunnison Valley as we compare real estate sales year over year. Residential sales increased slightly compared to last year; however, land sales experienced an exceptional month. February saw a 57% increase in total sales and an incredible 498% jump in sales volume county wide compared to February of 2024.
